HOW DR. AGIGIAN WORKS
Dr. Agigian's practice currently focuses on helping those struggling with distress stemming from traumatic events and from phobias.
He has expertise using cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Thought Field Therapy (TFT), problem-focused brief therapy, assertiveness training, family and couples therapy and substance abuse treatment.
Dr. Agigian primarily uses CBT, ACT and TFT to help those struggling with fears and the aftermath of trauma.
Dr. Agigian uses ACT, which encompasses a variety of techniques that address a wide range of psychological problems. He also uses breathing retraining, to to assist people afflicted by excessive anger and anxiety.
Dr. Agigian has found TFT usually to be the fastest effective method to help clients eliminate fears and the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). TFT has been described as an "energy therapy" and also as a rapid variation of exposure therapy combined with a distraction technique.
